Continuing with our Lord’s preparatory preaching on discipleship, we learn that there are “demands” that are often difficult, and are we able to actually be worthy of serving our Lord.

This is Palm Sunday, and the visual picture our Lord purposely puts forward is one we all need to appreciate, for it is picture we too must embrace.

There is too much that masquerades as Christianity, or even sees itself as Christianity, but just as in the first century we today, perhaps more so, need to be able to discern the truth.

In the sixth chapter of Matthew our Lord makes the statement that man cannot serve two masters, that one cannot serve Mammon and God. There is a lot more here than you may think.
